Baptist Church of the North in Mauritius (BCN) - Our Core Values - As a Church, we desire to be Christ honouring in all we do.
The following four core values not only describe who we are, they determine what we do as a church family - relating to each other and our community.
Authentic Worship
Authentic worship is getting real with God and ourselves. It is laying our hearts and lives before God as an offering to Him. It may not be pretty nor on the surface worth much to some - but to God - it is all He asks. Authentic worship is the gathering of struggling sinners and saints-to-be to glorify and serve our Holy God.
Relational Community
God has called us to live in community - in real, unmasked relationship with each other. We carry that out mainly through our Small Groups - where small groups of people gather together to share life, learn together, and pray for each other.
Transformational Discipleship
The true moniker for a disciple or Christ-follower is life-change. We know that Jesus desires to mold and shape us like a potter - creating us into His beautiful works of art! Transformation comes through a growing and loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Growth takes place as individuals spend time with God in Prayer and His Word, and as we grow together in community through corporate worship and Small Groups.
Missional Living
Missional Living is purposing to carry out God's worldwide call to share His Love with the world. We carry that out by serving our community here in the North and Mauritius as a whole and by sharing the hope of God with all who are willing to hear. Missional Living is seeking opportunities to touch our world. It is setting our ambitions aside for the Kingdom Purposes of God.
